The Capitol Arts Gallery at 525 Main Street in Quincy, CA (right across the street from the county courthouse) is the home of Plumas Arts. This Capitol Saloon building (circa 1873) served as longest running bar in Plumas County until it closed it doors in 2008. Plumas Arts purchased the building at a foreclosure auction in September of 2011and through an inspired community effort this historic landmark has been renovated and returned to community use for current and future generations.
The Capitol Arts Gallery proudly displays the work of Plumas Arts' many and talented local and regional member artists working in a diversity of mediums. Opening receptions and other cultural gatherings are part of the ongoing programs of Plumas Arts. Shows change regularly so make the gallery a regular stop on your visits to Quincy. Gallery Hours are Wednesday to Friday, 11:00 am to 5:00pm or by Appointment.
