A Few Brews and a Banjo 2016

On June 25th Chester Park will once again be the location for A Few Brews & A Banjo— an event that has been helping to raise funds for school programs since 2004.

Spend a perfect afternoon in a scenic park along side the North Fork of the Feather River…
Sip on a tasty micro-brewed…
Enjoy some sunny summer afternoon music…

This year's music begins at 2pm with the sweet harmonies of Benny, Penny & Dude featuring the best tunes of the 'old' folky, bluesy, country-rock era and sprinkling in some of the best of the 'new' folky, bluesy, alt-country tunes. The Blue Merles, playing a rocking roadhouse take on the Bakersfield sound of music made popular by the likes of Merle Haggard, Buck Owens and Dwight Yockam take the stage at 4pm.

Music and beer samplings take place from 2pm to 6pm.

There will also be nonalcoholic beverages and Sierra Smoke Pit Barbeque will prepare ribs, pulled pork and on site prepared on site for sale.

$25 presale discount beer tasting tickets are available in Chester at Plumas Bank in Chester and Books & Beyond until Friday July 10th. At the gate the ticket price will be $30.

Plumas Arts has been the events sponsor for many years. The event is staffed by community volunteers who help with the set up, beer serving, clean-up and take down and all other aspects of the event.
