Corinne West to exhibit at Plumas Arts Gallery |
The Plumas Arts Gallery, located at 525 Main Street in Quincy, returns from Winter Hiatus, with a reception Friday, February 5, 2016, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm for a new exhibit of multimedia artwork by Corinne West. |
|
Best known for her singing and songwriting, Corinne West will focus on her visual side for this show.
"Music, color, texture, taste, sound, light, feel - we are so blessed
to have our indescribable senses, to be able to create with them, and
respond to where we are, who we know, how we feel, what we
taste... Three dimensional art for me, is a splendid process," says West of her art pieces. |

"I will be showing, among other pieces, one-of-a-kind handmade monoprints.
They were created by combining transferred textures from found objects,
and applying multiple layers of ink and sometimes thin papers known as Chine Collé.
Each piece is truly one of a kind. Periodically I will use an element
from a monoprint to create a card, or other printed piece, but these are
the originals."
Says Lori Davis, Plumas Arts Gallery Director, "We are thrilled to have the chance to show Corinne's art here at the gallery. I think you'll see a different side of her creativity with this work."
The show will hang for the month of February. Gallery hours are Wed-Friday from 11am to 5pm, and Saturday from 11am to 3pm.
