Plumas Arts is pleased to host their next gallery exhibition showcasing the work of two generations of local artists: Mother, Pam Trebes and daughter Heather Greene. The show opens with a gallery reception Friday, September 27, 2013 at the Capitol Arts Gallery, 525 Main St. in Quincy from 5PM to 7PM. The work will hang in the gallery through the end of October.

PAM TREBES was born in Southern California the summer 1953. As a youngster Trebes studied the performing arts. She was a dancer and gymnast and studied choreography and became a nationally ranked gymnast. Trebes moved to Lake Almanor in 1978 and had two lovely daughters. In 1999, she received a digital camera as a gift. After fooling around a little while she discovered she had "the eye".
Trebes got her first computer art program and went to work. In the mid 2000's Trebes wanted to print her photographs , BIG, So she invested in a Giclee printer and began printing her own work. After a short time she was requested to reproduce Fine Art for local artists. She took a class in Fine Art reproduction to help make the job easier and learned more about ICC profiles, image capture and many other technical things. |

In 2010 Trebes took her first watercolor workshop from Deb Groesser, and many since. She found she loved to paint! She finds it very relaxing and rewarding. Trebes and her husband own Trebes Studios where you can see her work by appointment or online at www.TrebesStudios.com. She also participates in "Art Around the Lake" as a venue for herself and a few other local artists. |

HEATHER GREENE was born in Chester, California in 1981 and was an artist before she could remember. Greene received a full scholarship to Brooks College of Design and graduated as a candidate for valedictorian. Not completely inspired by urban life, Heather returned to her hometown to be surrounded and influenced by the beauty of the area. Within months she opened her own gallery.
Greene says "The beauty and majesty of Northern California have captured my heart and imagination. I feel extremely lucky to have grown up in this area on this lake. This place has always been one of my biggest inspirations." She continues "I love to create using several different water based mediums. Watercolor is my favorite because of it's transparency, flow and sometimes unexpected results." |

Greene considers herself fortunate to learn from and even work for other artists throughout her life. She is motivated to inspire and teach our youth using her graphic design background. She says "I get to teach classes at my old high school! I have been involved with Plumas Arts and Feather River Arts Guild for several years, and now I am a proud member of the Blue Goose Gallery of Artists."
